General prescriptions. Reconstruction of public pools

In Ukraine now there is a plenty of pools of various type, purpose and the sizes which have been constructed in 1960-1990г. These are pools for swimming, training to swim and master various kinds of aquatics, for sanitary and treatment of people of various age categories. Long-term operation, and also use of the equipment, pipelines of various capacities and vessels of those times, complicated a keeping of demanded technological and sanitary-and-hygienic mode of operation of pool and has led to a sharp necessity of reconstruction of pool and replacement of the out-of-date equipment.

Reconstruction of pool should begin with the hydraulic project and the project of reconstruction of all building (if a pool is inside).

The basic life-support systems of swimming pools are systems of water supply and water removal. Without these systems functioning and operation of pools are impossible. Systems of filtration and disinfection of water should conform to modern both highest technical and sanitary requirements. Therefore at the first stage of reconstruction it is necessary to make first a replacement of the out-of-date equipment of water-preparation of pool equipment.

The correct choice of filtering installation and other equipment is the most important, for normal operation of pool and maintenance of pool water according to norms of Health Inspection Service (SаnPiN 2.1.4.559-96" Potable water »)., thus up to a minimum are reduced the expenses for maintenance service and cost of operation. The equipment for pools is presented by a number of foreign firms. The most productive filters providing qualitative water treating are sand filters.

For a stock of filters in filtration room it is necessary to provide devices of an assembly aperture, and placement of filters and other equipment shall be made in relation to an assembly aperture so that at replacement of any filter it will be possible to avoid dismantling of equipment which requires no replacement.

It is expedient to apply filters with smaller diameters. It will allow avoiding a situation when the city water drain is not able to accept drains during the moment of washing the filters.

The quantity of filters always is accepted settlement and a reserve of filters to accept does not follow.(бред сивой кобылы)!!!!!!!! Productivity of circulating pumps should correspond to productivity of filters. For reliability of system it is necessary to provide a reserve of circulating pumps.

Besides since the water in pool is often aggressive, it is necessary to select the pumps having anticorrosive components of a hydraulic part. Pipeline and locking and aadjusting armature of the technological scheme of water-preparation, earlier made from the metal being a subject to corrosion, shall be replaced with the pipeline and armature from PVC. It possesses small hydraulic losses, durability, smaller weight in comparison with the others, stability corrosion and adjournment of salts. The sizes of the pipeline should correspond to hydraulic and engineering requirements, in view of economic aspects.

To support water in pool in an optimum condition for bathing or competing in navigation, it is necessary not only to install the systems of circulation and water treating, but also to provide its chemical processing.

Disinfection of water in swimming pools till now in the prevailing majority of cases is carried out by chlorine.

Recently even more often there are solutions where for maintenance of accuracy and reliability of batching the complex systems including measuring, adjusting and dosing out automatics are established. Exact batching is not only a necessary condition for effective action of disinfecting solutions, but it also provides economy of energy and reducing of costs of chemicals during water-preparation.

Availability of high chromaticity and turbidity in the water coming from city waterpipes requires application of methods of clarification by coagulation. Coagulation allows not only to clarify and decolour water, as well as to increase effect of the subsequent filtering.

For increase of reliability of disinfecting of water, it is appropriate to apply ozonization and ultraviolet radiation with use of chlorination as the combined method of disinfection to improve physical and organ leptical properties of water in pool.

The modern market of pool equipment offers a wide choice of compact and reliable water heaters and heat exchangers. Equipped by automatics, these devices independently make heating water of pool and maintain the set temperature.

Having replaced the cumbersome and inconvenient in service equipment, made in the beginning of the last century, to the modern equipment, it allows to reduce significantly the technical areas and staff of the service personnel, and accordingly to reduce expenses for maintenance.

At reconstruction of a pool bowl it is possible to install the additional equipment (attractions). The device of a counter current allows swimming in a small pool, staying on one and the same place.

Ground geysers make massage of a body by an air jet, and also simulates effect of boiling water. Underwater fountains enable to take pleasure in a hydro massage, and the decorative ones will give some vitality and originality to a pool.

During reconstruction it is necessary to give special attention to systems of heating and air conditioning which should provide optimum parameters of a microclimate and air environment of premises of swimming pools.

Only slow and serious study of the uniform project on reconstruction of the pool, including the information stipulated above, will allow you to achieve expected result and the economic charge of your means.
